FREESAT - Installed by the Professionals
The key benefits of Freesat is that's its FREE from any monthly charge, you DO NOT enter into any contract, it also boasts FREE High Definition channels. The service was launched in May 2008 and the service currently boasts 141 digital TV and Radio channels. PPS Audio Visual are authorised Installation experts and repair agents.
What involved in the Installation:
- We will arrive at your home or business on the arranged day to install your new Freesat Service.
- We will fix a high quality Zone 1 Mini Dish to your property so it faces towards the Astra 2 satellite 28.5 degrees east (roughly south). We are experts in dish placement and will always carry out a quick site survey with yourself so not only is the dish ideally placed for signal quality but you also have a say in where we put it.
- We will than run the required number of cables from the satellite dish to the designated room or rooms using high quality low loss Coaxial Cable and water resistant crimp on connectors.
- Then we connect the feeds from the satellite dish to the satellite Receiver and connect it to your TV.
- We will then tune the receiver in and give you a one to one lesson on how the service works.
- We will then tidy and hoover any mess and waterproof any external entry points.
Receivers
There are 4 main ways to get the service:
- Standard Definition Receiver - The SD Receiver is ideal if you have an old CRT TV or a non HD Ready Set. You still get access to all the Freesat Channels (Excluding the HD Channels), an 8 Day on-screen planner, BBC's Red Button service and Teletext.
- High Definition Receiver - The non recording HD Receiver is ideal if you wish to unleash the full potential of your HD Ready LCD or Plasma. You get full access to the HD channels as well as all the other subscription free channels. Because the box is connected to your TV via an HDMI cable you will also notice enhanced picture quality on your non HD Channels due to the boxes up scaling capabilities. This box is also ready for the BBC i Player connection
- Recording High Definition Receiver - The recording HD receiver has all the features as described above but is ideal for anyone wishing to record programmes off the satellite service, whether you like recording your favourite programmes once a week or wish to record entire series at the touch of a single button you will wonder how you ever lived without it...
- Service enabled LCD's and Plasma's - Manufactures like Panasonic, LG and Samsung have a range of Freesat enabled TV's, they offer all the benefits of the service as seen in the non-recording HD Receiver above but with no extra box as its all built into the TV set. You will still need the dish and cabling.

Our installations start from £99.99 for a Single Room Single Feed, this includes a new Dish, LNB and a single cable run to the location of your Freesat Box (Box not included). Twin Feed installations suitable for Freesat Recordable PVR's start from £149.99.
